Amazing true story:
There was a brother who used to attend an Islamic awareness stall in London. One day a lady went up to the stall and spat in his face. Being the empathic, tolerant, compassionate and wise Muslim that Islam teaches, he managed to keep a huge smile on his face. He then pulled out a tissue and wiped his face, and then pulled out another tissue and offered it to the lady because she had some remaining saliva dribbling on her lip.
After a few weeks she came back to the stall and embraced Islam.
The lesson from this true story is that we must never break our principles and always express our values of compassion, tolerance and patience. Coupled with the truth of Islam, such character and values will turn a hater in to a loving friend, insha'Allah (God-willing).
“And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel evil by that deed which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity will become as though he was a devoted friend.” The Qur’an 41:34
